Treasure Data is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our Tokyo office. In this role, you will be part of a small, highly motivated team responsible for managing IT SaaS applications, endpoints, and providing user support for a global company.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, with hands-on experience in SaaS, SSO, MDM, Networking, and some Automation. You will be the go-to person for end-user operations, managing IT SaaS Apps, office infrastructure, and helping with automation to streamline and improve our Business workflows and IT operations. This hybrid position requires you to be in the Tokyo office at least three-four days a week.
Responsibilities
- Client Systems Engineering and Automation:
- Design and implement IT solutions while providing technical support for client SaaS systems such as Okta, Jamf, Slack, Google Workspace, Confluence, and Zoom, including integration management.
- Work closely with global ITS team members to design & implement technical solutions, manage operations and resolve issues. Maintain and enhance internal IT documentation.
- User Support and Troubleshooting:
- Ensure efficient onboarding orientation and offboarding for users, macbook support, including provisioning and deprovisioning access to IT systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for end-users across the APAC region, providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for technical issues. Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
- Develop automation solutions to reduce end-user support ticket volume.
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall experience in IT Systems Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience with Jira ITSM, Google Suite, Zoom Rooms and Slack administration.
- 2+ years of experience with SSO tools (Okta, Google).
- 2+ years of experience with MDM tools like Jamf and managing MacBooks.
- Fluent in Japanese with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused attitude.
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience with Jira ITSM ticketing management and Confluence documentation.
- 2+ years of solid experience in IT automation in Python or automation tools such as Workato, Tines or Zapier.
- Have a good understanding of Agile and Scrum processes
- Experience working with AI tools
