We’re looking for a Data Operations Specialist who can manage data systems while driving business value. This role will be pivotal in supporting our data infrastructure and transforming product data into actionable insights that contribute to company growth.
The Challenge
Our business generates “some” data, our team needs clear, actionable insights from this data to make informed decisions. Your mission is to take ownership of our data systems and translating data into business strategies. You’ll work both autonomously and collaborate across teams to improve data reliability, availability, and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize data systems: Take full ownership of managing and optimizing data systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Business-driven data analysis: Analyze product data and translate insights into business strategies that can improve decision-making across the company.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with teams to ensure data availability and accuracy for critical functions. You’ll likely be embedded in our Product team.
- Process improvements: Maintain data integrity while identifying opportunities to enhance data processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to view data from a business perspective and drive strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in SQL for creating business intelligence reports and extracting insights from data.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills and a high sense of responsibility.
- Business Japanese ability.
