About the position

This role is a consulting position that demands collaborative work with both clients and colleagues within cross-functional product teams. Essential attributes include strong communication skills, technical proficiency, empathy, humility, and a thorough grasp of lean startup and agile values, principles, and methodologies.

Projects require decision-making that involves not only members of the client team, but sometimes even senior management, as appropriate. We are looking for someone who is willing to move forward with a project despite many uncertainties and who is willing to work together to develop a valuable product.

Operating within an early-stage team, this role is designed to be dynamic, seeking individuals capable of growing alongside the evolving demands of the team. Given its status as a new business line, you’ll contribute to shaping the entire consulting framework at Code Chrysalis.

Note that this is a consulting role, where you’ll be expected to work alongside clients at our office and/or at the client’s site depending on the project. You’ll be working for the office most days of the week, with remote work and flex-time allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with client business stakeholders and domain experts to understand the product’s business context and identify critical business assumptions.
  • Defining high-level user stories in collaboration with Product Designers and based on product prototypes.
  • Facilitating discussions with software engineers to assess user stories’ complexity and prioritize them on the product backlog.
  • Monitoring team delivery KPIs and proposing initiatives for improvement & providing delivery estimates based on team velocity.
  • Willingness to work in an agile product environment, rather than a waterfall one.
  • Transferring knowledge to the client.
  • Enabling client leadership to grow their own engineering practice.
  • Contributing to homegrown Code Chrysalis consulting methodologies and frameworks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in software development, service operation, or consulting.
  • Proficient in defining KPIs and measurable success criteria, and continuously reviewing and evaluating them.
  • Ability to quickly understand clients’ industry specialization and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Experience in business planning, including setting vision, formulating strategy, and designing product roadmaps.
  • Passion for skill enhancement, problem-solving, and engaging work.
  • Proficiency in training, mentoring, or upskilling others.
  • Adaptability to new environments and clients.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, enabling collaboration across diverse roles within product teams.
