About the position

At the Money Forward Fukuoka development base, we are developing various services, including the business-oriented cloud service “Money Forward Cloud,” to solve a wide range of financial issues.

As we continue to add new products and features, rapid development and quality assurance to satisfy our customers have become urgent needs.

While speed is being ensured through Agile development, quality assurance in short cycles is still a work in progress, and we are continuously improving through trial and error.

As the number of product users increases and the organization expands, we are seeking someone who can drive product quality improvement as a QA engineer.

UI Turn Support Campaign Ongoing

Money Forward is currently running a campaign to support relocation to our Fukuoka development base! We are offering 500,000 yen to assist with relocation expenses to engineers who join us mid-career and are currently living in Japan (conditions apply).

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including building and executing test strategies in the ERP domain of the back-office SaaS “Money Forward Cloud,” as well as project management operations.

Specific duties include:

  • Formulating test plans to meet customer requirements and product goals
  • Quality analysis, quality improvement, and defect analysis
  • Improvement of test processes
  • Improvement of development processes
  • Improvement of operational efficiency
  • Promotion of test automation (strategy formulation, implementation, and improvement)

Requirements

  • Over 3 years of experience as a QA engineer
  • ISTQB or JSTQB Foundation Level certification, or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience in formulating and executing test strategies with a focus on QCD and the test pyramid
  • Proactive attitude towards quality improvement
    • Ability to question existing processes and methods, actively identify and propose solutions to issues, and lead stakeholders such as PdM/Eng. towards improvement and resolution
  • Basic business level English (equivalent to TOEIC 700 or above)

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • QA experience in a business company
  • Experience in quality planning, quality analysis, and quality improvement
  • Experience in improving development processes
  • JCSQE Software Quality Engineer Certification at the basic or intermediate level or higher
  • JSTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level or higher
  • Experience using various testing tools
  • Experience in automating UI tests or API tests
  • Technical knowledge in the development of web or smartphone applications, and experience as an engineer
  • Experience in building/maintaining CI environments
  • Ability to analyze logs and data to identify issues
  • Practical experience in software development, including reading and writing source code, with some knowledge or experience in software development (approximately 2-3 years)
  • Japanese proficiency is not required but a willingness to learn is preferred.
    • English is primarily used in our development environment. However, there are a few situations and tasks where communicating in Japanese is necessary. We would like to encourage individuals who are currently learning Japanese or have a strong desire to learn to join our team.

Compensation

¥6,408,000 ~ ¥11,004,000 annually.
