We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to play a critical role in our product development process by focusing on manual testing. As a Junior QA Engineer at Beatrust, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our customers. You will work closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to identify and report issues, verify fixes, and ensure that new features are implemented correctly.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skills in software testing and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Manual Testing: Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to identify bugs, defects, and issues in our software products.
- Test Documentation: Document test cases, results, and any issues encountered during testing. Provide clear and concise feedback to the development team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure that new features are tested thoroughly.
- Issue Tracking: Use issue tracking tools to log and manage bugs and defects. Verify bug fixes and ensure they are correctly implemented.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in the creation of test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a QA or software testing role
- Empathy with the vision and mission of Beatrust
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality
- Basic understanding of software development processes and lifecycle
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques and methodologies
- Able to complete testing tasks independently, including test cases design, test cases execution, issue reporting and test result reporting
- Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Github, Jira, Bugzilla)
Nice to haves

- 3+ years of experience in a QA or software testing role
- Experience in testing SaaS products
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and a desire to learn more about automation
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Basic understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Good sense of testing from the end-user perspective
- Understanding on CI/CD and related tools
- Conversational Japanese proficiency
